Tree Planting Drive-2021 under the theme “Plants instead of Crackers” in Arasur Government Higher Secondary School

The NCC, NSS, UBA volunteers and faculty of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology in association with Arasur Panchayat conducted a Tree Planting Drive-2021 under the theme “Plants instead of Crackers” in Arasur Government Higher Secondary School on 30.10.2021 at 11.00 a.m. to create awareness among general public and youngsters.

The program was presided by Dr. M. Akila, Principal, KPR Institute of Engineering & Technology. The president of the Arasur village, Mr. Govindaraj, requested all the volunteers to take care of the village in all sources of social activities and was thankful to NCC, UBA and NSS to pave a way to plant these saplings in their village.

The event had a total of 250 saplings planted in the school with the help of our faculty, volunteers and villagers.

Dr. R. Balaji, UBA- Assistant regional coordinator, TNAU, Coimbatore, gave his suggestions of what has to be done and about the maintenance of the forest. The event was conducted by Dr. M.S. Karthikeyan, Head, Community services, Dr. P. Anilkumar, NSS, SAP coordinator, Dr. C. Charly Jerome, NCC 2TN medical wing and Dr. R. Saravanan, UBA coordinator and Mr. S. Karthikeyan, NSS Coordinator, KPR institute of Engineering and Technology organised the event
