On October 27th and 28th, 2023, a value-added web development course was conducted for 2nd-year Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CSE AIML) students. The course aimed to introduce beginners to the latest web technologies, focusing on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
On Day 1, Mr. Rajeshkumar S, an Associate Professor in the CSE (AIML) department, led a hands-on session on HTML and CSS. Students eagerly absorbed the knowledge and successfully created static web content. The practical approach enhanced their understanding of these fundamental web technologies.
Day 2 featured Mr. Raja Ravi, a Senior Software Development Engineer from Embitel Technologies in Chennai, guiding students through JavaScript programming and offering insights into the industrial aspects of web development. Students actively engaged with the resource person and gained valuable knowledge in JavaScript.
As part of the course, students were tasked with developing a static web page, which will be evaluated after 7 days. Certificates will be issued based on the evaluation scores and students' attendance and participation. This course not only provided a solid foundation in web development but also encouraged active learning and hands-on experience, preparing the students for a successful journey in the world of web development.
