The workshop began with a welcome note from Dr. K. Ravi Kumar, Head of the Center for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development, KPRIET. He welcomed the faculty representatives from five institutions of Coimbatore acting as mentee institutions in the mentor-mentee institution scheme of MHRD. A total of eight faculty members were present. The internal team of CIIED was present during the two days of the workshop to assist them in creating an interactive environment. The workshop sessions began with a talk from Ms.Swetha Vivek, Founder of Superflyy. She encouraged the audience to promote the sense of creating business ideas among the budding graduates of today as the scope of their growth would be cumbersome in society. According to Ms.Swetha, this interest should be cultivated during the tenure of their studies by helping them participate in ongoing IIC activities of the institution or across other institutions. The next speaker, Mr.Shameer, addressed how business plans and development should be initiated among the students at an earlier stage when they have ideated. The session discussed about various strategies the Government of India supports to finance and support the earlier stages of businesses as incubation opportunities. Also, there was a session held on how to file patents by Mr. D. Balaji, a member of CFRD, KPRIET. Altogether the two-day workshop was a cumbersome way of socializing with the participants.
