The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, inaugurated its student association, aptly named "TECHNO WATT," marking a significant milestone in the department's journey. The inauguration ceremony was held in conjunction with the Conclave on the Role of Technology in Energy Transition 2024. The event commenced with a traditional lighting ceremony with the dignitaries of Dr. C.L. Kuppuswamy, Director & Head, Ronesans Holding Engineering Group, Turkey, Mr. K. Ravichandran, Director, Foretec Electric India Private Limited, Coimbatore, and Dr. V. Kamalakannan, Managing Director, Bharat Engineering Solutions, Coimbatore. The Head of the Department Dr. K. Mohana Sundaram welcomed he gathering and Dr.G. Saravanan introduced the technowatt team members for AY2024-2025. The dignitaries on the dais discussed about Role of Technology in Energy Transition in the conclave. The conclave focused on several critical areas: Role of Technology in Energy Transition for Oil, Gas, and Power Industries, Overcoming AI Challenges in Autonomous Grid Development, New Jobs and Business Ideas. the conclave concluded with an interactive question and answer session, where the dignitaries addressed a wide range of questions from students and professionals. The experts provided clear and insightful answers, helping the audience gain a deeper understanding of the importance and future prospects of electrical engineering in the context of energy transition. Mr.Sandeepraaj P delivered the vote of thanks and event ended with national anthem.
