Department of Chemical Engineering along with Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), KPRIET Student Chapter Jointly organized a webinar on "Crude to Cool". The event was conducted for the students of chemical engineering and it was well received. The resource person had interacted with students and shared his experience in the industry.
The Objective of the event was to Brainstorm the ways how chemicals can fit into a circular economy, focusing on how the industry can contribute to sustainability while maintaining its economic viability. The following topics were discussed:
Design for Recyclability: How can products be designed to be easily recyclable or biodegradable?
Alternative Feedstocks: What renewable materials could reduce reliance on fossil fuels?
Waste-to-Resource: How can waste be repurposed into new products?
