The programme was organized by Department of Civil Engineering for the Inauguration of Civil Engineering Association on 08.08.2022 at 3 PM in Thanam Hall.
Mr.N.Santhosh IV-A, President, Civil Engineering Association, has welcomed the gathering. Dr.G.Anusha, Professor & Head, Department of Civil Engineering, introduced the student officers & office bearers of the Civil Engineering Association for the academic year 2022-2023.
Mr.S.Elavarasan, Assistant professor (Sr.G), Department of Civil Engineering, delivered the annual plan for the academic year 2022-23 which includes various activities such as Field visits, Expert talks, Industry interaction, Internship, Guest Lectures, Symposium, Webinars and Contests.
Mr.R.Ramakrishnan, President, Coimbatore Civil Engineering Association addressed the students on the various opportunities available in Civil Engineering and focused on the skills to be developed by the students to fit into the construction industry. He also shared his experience about poor quality of construction and the negligence of soil condition which caused of the collapse of building at Moulivakkam, Chennai.
Totally of 10 faculty and 266 students attended the programme.
