The Institution of Engineers (India), Coimbatore Local Centre organised a technical webinar
in association with the Department of Civil Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and
Technology, Coimbatore on 03 rd February 2022 (Thursday). In the webinar, the guest speaker
Dr J S Sudarsan, Assistant Professor, School of Construction Management, National Institute of
Construction Management and Research, Pune, gave a lecture on “Green Construction
Strategies in Building Construction”.
Dr S Shanmugam, Chairman, IE(I), Coimbatore Local Centre welcomed the gathering.
Dr G Anusha, Professor and Head, Department of Civil Engineering, KPR Institute of
Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore presided the event. Lt. Dr A K Priya, Professor,
Department of Civil Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore
introduced the chief guest to the participants.
Dr J S Sudarsan, guest speaker explained the new green construction strategies in building
construction. He also briefed about advanced materials and new many strategies during
construction. He discussed about Ewaste management in construction.
Nearly 75 participants attended the programme.
Finally Dr J Krishnamoorthi, Honorary Secretary, IE(I), Coimbatore Local Centre gave a vote
of thanks.
