Outcome:

The students who participated in this event were able to learn, the types of Inverters. Types of Solar PV power plant, Solar PV projects – Business Models (CAPEX, OPEX, RESCO, EPC) and the project management and the key aspects of Solar PV power plant project management. They were also learned about the terminologies used during the project management.

Event Report:

The Event "Solar Power Plant Design and Management" organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, started sharply at 9.00 a.m. in the Elective Hall. First, the welcome address was delivered by Mr. N. Udhayakumar followed by the speech of the chief guest Dr. Matheswaran Alagu. Then the lecture started with a summary of the previous lecture. The lecture continued on the types of Inverters used in Solar PV power plants. Then a brief introduction to types of Solar power plants (Large scale / Small scale). Then after the break the lecture continued on the Solar PV projects – Business Models. Finally, the Project Management and the key aspects of Solar PV power plant project management. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr.Praveen .S.V
