The Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "The Role of Power Electronics in Energy Transition Technology" was successfully organized by the IEEE PELS KPRIET Student Branch in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET) on 06/01/2025 to 10/01/2025. The program aimed to provide in-depth knowledge of modern power electronics applications in renewable energy systems, grid stability. The event was coordinated by Dr. K Mohana Sundaram, Professor & Head of EEE, with Ms. B Lalitha, Assistant Professor, EEE, serving as the co-coordinator. Student coordinators, including Salem Noel D (Chair - IEEE KPRIET SB PELS), Karthikeyan M (Secretary), Karpagavarshini M (Joint Secretary), and Subika T (Treasurer), played a vital role in organizing the sessions. Totally 14 faculty members from various institutions participated in this FDP. Participants appreciated the FDP for its comprehensive coverage of emerging trends in power electronics, especially in EV Industry.
