The Career Development Centre and Center for Foreign Languages of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology jointly organized an orientation session on Japanese Language Skills in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on 9th October 2025 at Raagam Hall.
The session aimed to create awareness among students about the growing demand for Japanese language proficiency in the global IT and business sectors. Representatives from TCS enlightened the participants on the significance of Japanese language skills in enhancing employability, especially in multinational projects involving Japan-based clients.
The speakers provided an overview of language learning levels (JLPT N5 to N1), career pathways for bilingual professionals, and the support TCS extends to employees in acquiring foreign language proficiency. The session was interactive, with students actively engaging through questions and discussions about career opportunities, learning strategies, and industry expectations.
The event concluded with an expression of gratitude to TCS for their valuable insights and continued partnership in fostering skill-based learning at KPRIET.
Students gained awareness of the importance of Japanese language proficiency in global career advancement.
Participants understood the structure and certification process of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).
The session helped students identify career opportunities in TCS and other multinational companies that value bilingual communication skills.
Students were motivated to enroll in foreign language learning programmes offered by KPRIET’s Center for Foreign Languages.
