The Center for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIIED) and Centre for Intellectual Property Rights(CIPR) Jointly organized an One Day Orientation on “ Innovation – A Pathway to IP” on 22.07.2023. The Head of CIIED Professor Dr. K Ravi Kumar felicitated the gathering and Welcomed the chief guest. The Resource person Dr.D.Balaji, Assistant Professor, Head - CIPR, KPRIET deliberated the sessions and gave glimpse about Innovation and Intellectual Property Innovation means doing something new that improves a product, process or service. Many innovations can be protected through intellectual property (IP) rights. He also highlighted About Patent information, PCT – The International Patent System, How patents can support inventors and improve lives. He also explained about Other intellectual property rights such as Copyright, Design rights, Trademarks and Trade secrets .The session was concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by the Coordinator Dr.R.Dharmaraj Associate Professor of Civil Engineering.The workshop on 'Innovation - A Pathway to Intellectual Property' was a highly informative and engaging event that brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, and experts in the field of intellectual property (IP) to explore the critical link between innovation and the protection of intellectual property rights.
