Awareness Program on Self Defence for Women ( Karate Program )
To raise awareness of women's self-defence , the department of physical education and the women's empowerment cell organised a Karate session for the female students at the KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology. On August 12 , 2023 , at our KPR Kalaiarangam. Sensei S. Bhaskaran and Mas Oyama's kyoku shin karate team ( composed of 30 female students from Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School, Cheran Managar ) performed the practical session for the awareness kyokushin karate ( Japanese style ) program. Dr. M. Ramasamy , our principal and Dr. M. Natarajan , our chief executive officer, praised the karate programme and made brief remarks to support our pupils and the school students who took part in the karate performance. Sensei S. Bhaskaran has discussed the benefits of daily karate practice for women's self-defence as well as the need of physical and mental health for success in life. Students from Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School , Cheran Managar , have expressed their insights and benefits from regularly practicing karate.
