The Professional Society of Smart E-mobility (SSEM) and Indian Association of Energy Management Professionals (IAEMP) jointly organised an International Webinar on βRenewable Energy and Hybrid Systemsβ for the third and final-year (EEE & MECH) students on 18/08/2023. The resource person of the event was Dr. Narottam Das, Centre for Intelligent Systems, Central Queensland University, Melbourne, Australia. The Dr.A.Karthic Asp/EEE welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person. Renewable energy sources and hybrid energy systems are crucial to the transition to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly energy landscape. Let's explore each concept in more detail:
Renewable Energy Sources: Renewable energy sources are sources of energy that are naturally replenished and have a minimal impact on the environment compared to traditional fossil fuels. These sources can be harnessed continuously without being depleted. Some common examples of renewable energy sources include: Hybrid energy systems combining different types of energy sources and technologies to achieve more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective energy production. These systems can balance out the intermittent nature of some renewable sources and provide a stable energy supply. There are two main types of hybrid energy systems: Dr.P.Manoj Kumar AsP/Mech summarised the webinar and presented the vote of thanks
