The event Oratorical and Debate Contest organised by the Sweet Talkerz club and Internet Radio Club aimed at upskilling the oratory skills of the participants. It also focused on
enhancing the communicative skills and presence of mind of the students. The event even uplifted the confidence of the students, enabling
them to speak on a topic that was already given. Debate gave them the opportunity to analyse a particular social issue in terms of
merits and demerits. It created a positive environment and platform for students to speak up their mind in a natural tone.
The Sweet Talkerz Club and Internet Radio Club of Team IGNITRRON jointly organised ORATORICAL AND DEBATE CONTEST for all the KPRIET'ians on Saturday [12\08\2023] at Ignitrron room as a part
of Independence Day celebration. Ms. S. Brindha, Faculty Coordinator, Sweet Talkerz club and Dr. Saravanan, Faculty Coordinator, Radio Club were the judges of this event.
Surya Prakash S and Neha Darshini S were the event coordinators. The topic of the debate was 'Is social media doing more harm than good for public discourse?'. Events was conducted in both English and Tamil languages. The event was fruitful with 35 participants . All the participants exhibited
their thinking and oratorical skills. They were evaluated for their content, pronunciation and also based on their vocabulary skills.
All the participants were awarded with participation certificates. The event got positive feedbacks from the participants. . . . . . . . .
