Department of Civil Engineering organized an One Day Executive Development Programme for Practicing Engineers of KCP Infra Private Limited on 09.02.2024 at Experience Engineering Centre. Engineers from KCP Infra Private Limited, Coimbatore benefitted from the programme were Implementation of AR and VR in construction, Safety in Construction and BIM are the topics for the session.
Er. K.Chandraprakash, Managing Director and Proprietor of KCP Infra Pvt. Ltd. Coimbatore along with his team of engineers who were actively involved in the implementation of Coimbatore Smart City projects participated in the event. First and foremost, Dr. G. Anusha , welcomed the industry experts for the event of knowledge sharing on the evolving topics in the construction industry. First session was handled by Mr. S. Yuvaraj on the topic AR & VR in Construction Industry. Introduction to software tools used in construction for visualization of buildings to be built were deliberated. Second session was deliberated by Dr. R. Dharmaraj about the safety and precaution measures to be considered in all construction industries. Hands-on Training about the BIM software was handled by Mrs. R. Kavitha to the industry experts. Industry experts appreciated the efforts taken by the department to organize a knowledge sharing program from academia to industry.
