Department of Civil Engineering in association with Coimbatore Builders and Contractors Association(CEBACA) jointly organized 6 days Pre-Employment Training Programme (Residential Programme) at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore from 18.03.2024 to 23.03.2024.
In this residential pre-employment programme, the sessions were handled by industrial experts to give students an insight about the current trends and impart practical knowledge about the construction market scenarios. Around 36 final year civil engineering students from various institutions like Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan college of engineering, PA College of Engineering and Technology, Kumaraguru College of Technology and Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology have participated in this programme. In addition to this, around 32 students pursuing final year civil engineering from KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology also participated and benefitted from this residential programme. Field training on Total station, field visits to KNRCL precast yard and plumbing lab at Sri Ramakrishna Institute were also a part of this training.
All participants were benefited from the technical sessions and interacted with experts.
On the last day of this programme, a mega campus drive was organized at our campus and around 16 core companies participated and interviewed the students and offered them jobs based on performance in their concern.
