AWARENESS PROGRAM ON IMPORTANCE OF VOTING, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

gave awareness about "Importance of Voting" to the young generation

An awareness program on The Importance of Voting Rights was organized by the Youth Parliament of KPRIET in association with the Drama Club. This  event took place at Raagam Hall, KPRIET from 10:00 A.M - 11:00 A.M.
 
The event commenced with the arrival of the day’s chief guest Mr.Ashokan Village Administrative Officer (VAO). The event began with playing of the Tamil Thai Vazhthu and the KPR Anthem followed by a warm welcome note given by the coordinator of the club. Powerful Speeches on the necessity and importance of voting were given by the first year students.
The entire gathering took the National Voters Pledge following the chief guest. They pledged to abide by the faith in democracy and  to uphold the democratic traditions of our country.
This was followed by the highlight of the event-Mime show put up by the Drama Club of KPRIET. 10 students were participated in this event. The mime was based on the voting scenario and the consequences of choosing a bad leader. It was an eye opening experience for all the students who participated.
The program was wrapped up with the delivering of Vote of Thanks and singing the National Anthem of India. The chief guest and the audience were really inspired and felt the urge to vote in elections. They requested sessions like this time and again.
Overall, this event was a resounding success.
