India's transition from being a British colony to a republic is remembered on Republic Day. This holiday represents unity and pride in one's country. Republic Day was celebrated with great excitement and to keep alive the memory of our forefathers' journey to attain freedom and turn our country into a sovereign state.
The KPR group of Institutions celebrated the 74th Republic Day on 26.01.2023. The event was graced by the presence of the chief guest, Dr. M. Mathisekaran, Indian Economic Service Rtd. The celebration began with the unfurling of the National flag by the chief guest.
The Chairman Dr. K P Ramasamy in his absentia, Principal Dr. M. Akila, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Dr. P. Geetha, Principal, KPR College of Arts, Science and research welcomed the gathering.
The parade sequence performed by the cadets of 2 TN Air Squadron, 4 TN Battalion, 5 TN Girls Battalion and 6 TN Medical Company was the highlight of the event. The cadets' performance was met with applause and amazement from the audience.
The event was attended by the Registrar, Directors, Deans, Heads of Various departments, Faculty members and student friends. The Dance club of the KPR Group of Institutions gave an astounding performance to provoke the patriotism among the attendees followed by the National Anthem.
The event was a grand success, and it helped to foster a sense of nationalist among the students and faculty members. The KPR group of Institutions is proud to have celebrated the 74th Republic Day in such a grand manner.
