KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET), inline with “Make in India'' and “Skill India'' programmes of Government of India, promotes innovation and enhances skill development. In support of these programmes, various Centre of Excellence are established such as
- Experience Engineering is an Engineering Museum cum a digital learning centre that promises a holistic  learning experience for engineering aspirants and core engineering community.
- Centre of excellence in Biosignal processing has been established at KPRIET to focus on research and innovation for developing solutions to cater the needs of healthcare industry and society.
- Robotics and Automation Centre of Excellence is a state-of-the-art centre which was set up in the year 2022 with collaboration of Lucus Nuelle, Germany, a focus of strengthening smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 technology training and improving educational systems. 
- Centre for Nanoscience and Technology (C-NAT) was established in the year 2022 with State-of-the-Art laboratories equipped with sophisticated analytical and fabrication instruments to the tune of Rs. 2.0 Crores. 
- Centre for Drone Technology has established on the premise that it emanates innovation through experiential learning and participation in National and International technical events.
- EKKI International Water Technology Centre for pumps and water-related technologies. The centre will exchange the best practices in teaching and research for the pump industry and water-related technologies.
Department of Biomedical Engineering organised a campus visit for Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Polytechnic College final year students from various departments in order to explore the KPRIET - Centre of Excellence. A heart-warming welcome remark was delivered by Dr. D. Ganesh Kumar, Head / Biomedical Engineering. Dr. N. Rajasingam, Assistant Professor (SL.G) and Mr. V. Bharath, Assistant Professor (Sr.G), Department of Biomedical Engineering coordinates the visit. The visit was highly motivating and inspired all the participants.
