Outcome
We are delighted to announce that the parent-teacher meeting hosted by the Department of Civil Engineering on March 15, 2023, in the Final Year classroom was a resounding success. The meeting was focused on the achievements of the department, including research publications, collaborations, and infrastructure improvements. The academic and extracurricular accomplishments of the students were also highlighted, along with the analysis of the Ciat 1 results. The meeting was an excellent platform for parents and teachers to come together and discuss the progress of the department and students. It was a productive and insightful meeting, with many meaningful discussions and exchanges of ideas. We are grateful to all who attended and contributed to the event's success. We are looking forward to more such events in the future.
Summary
On March 15, 2023, the Department of Civil Engineering successfully organized a parent-teacher meeting in the Final Year classroom. The event aimed to promote the department's accomplishments, such as research publications, collaborations, and infrastructural improvements. The meeting was attended by parents, instructors, and students, who gathered to discuss the department's and kids' progress. The meeting began with a welcome address from the department's II-year student, later Dr. G. Anusha, the head of the department, who highlighted the department's significant achievements in the previous semester and also addressed the faculty members' current research work and collaborations with other institutions, which was followed by a presentation on the department's infrastructure improvements. The student's academic and extracurricular achievements were also highlighted, with a particular emphasis on the Ciat 1 outcomes analysis. The meeting allowed parents and teachers to interact with one another and discuss their children's progress. The parents praised the department for its efforts in offering high-quality education and encouraging pupils to participate in extracurricular activities. Towards the end of the meeting, the parents were invited to share their feedback and clear their doubts regarding the department and student development. We received an overwhelming response from the parents, and many of them raised some insightful questions. Some parents had doubts regarding the placement opportunities for their children, and the teachers provided them with information on the placement process and the various companies that come for recruitment. The teachers also gave insights on how the students can prepare for government exams and higher studies. The doubts regarding the preparation for government exams and higher studies were also addressed, and the teachers provided guidance and support for the students to excel in their studies. Overall, the meeting was informative and enlightening, and it provided an excellent forum for parents, instructors, and students to discuss the department's and students' progress.
