Public speaking skill has improved among students

An event called "Voice of Brains" was held at Veena hall on 27th April 2023 by the Youth Parliament of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, in association with the National Youth Parliament Scheme under Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. The topic of the event was "The Future of Work: Automation and AI- More Jobs or More Unemployment." One hundred students attended the event and were divided into two groups, with one group supporting the idea that automation and AI will create more jobs, while the other group argued that it will lead to more unemployment.
The event began at 10 am with a welcome address by the organizer, who explained the purpose of the event. This was followed by an inspiring speech from the Chief Guest, K. Selvaraj, MLA from Tirupur South Constituency , Tiruppur District, who encouraged the students to express their opinions freely. The debate then commenced, with each group presenting their arguments for and against the motion. The speakers presented their views logically, using relevant statistics and examples to support their arguments, and the atmosphere was enthusiastic.
In conclusion, the "Voice of Brains" event was successful in providing a platform for students to voice their opinions on the future of work in the context of automation and AI. The Chief Guest's speech and the subsequent debate were informative and thought-provoking, demonstrating the potential for youth to shape the future. The event was a valuable learning experience for all participants, and future events of this kind are eagerly anticipated.
