Summary
Department of Civil Engineering organized Mandatory non-credit course on " Indian Constitution" to II and III years students in Thanam Hall at KPRIET. The non-credit course on the Indian Constitution will help the students to understand the basic features of the Constitution, such as its federal structure, the separation of powers, and the fundamental rights and duties of citizens. Dr. V. Senthil Kumar, Faculty of Political Science, Government Arts College, Coimbatore explained about the importance of the Indian Constitution to the students of the Department of Civil Engineering at KPRIET. The Indian Constitution is the supreme law of the land and provides the framework for the governance of the country. It establishes the fundamental principles, values, and rights of the citizens of India, and outlines the powers and duties of the government. It also lays down the procedures for the conduct of government business and the administration of justice. As future engineers, the students of the Department of Civil Engineering at KPRIET will have an important role to play in the development of the country. Understanding the Indian Constitution is essential for them to appreciate the significance of their responsibilities as citizens and professionals. Through this course, the students will develop a better understanding of the constitutional framework that underpins the governance of the country. They will also learn about the rights and responsibilities of citizens, and the importance of upholding the rule of law and democratic values. This will equip them to become responsible and engaged citizens, who can contribute to the development and progress of the country. Totally 120 Students attended the Mandatory Non-Credit Course. They actively interacted with the resource person and clarified their doubts.
