The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Cell, organized a Summer Camp on “Smart Home Automation” for school students on 19th May 2025. The camp aimed to provide early exposure to automation technologies and encourage school students to explore the world of embedded systems, sensors, and controllers.
Though 50 students were expected, a total of 40 students eagerly participated in the camp and actively engaged in all sessions.
The technical session was handled by Dr. C. Pazhanimuthu, Assistant Professor (Sr. Grade), Department of EEE, who provided comprehensive insights into the working of various sensors, controllers, actuators, and introduced students to basic programming concepts. The session was interactive and well-received by the participants.
To further enhance understanding, hands-on demonstrations were conducted. The students were given practical exposure to:
Automatic Street Light Control System
Smart Control of Light and Fan using a Mobile Application
These demonstrations helped the students understand the practical implementation of automation systems and sparked their curiosity in electronics and smart technology.
The camp concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, where participants received certificates of appreciation and participation. The certificates were distributed by:
