The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology successfully organized the Gen Niral – Department Students’ Association Investiture Ceremony (2025–2026) on 8th August 2025 at Thanam Hall. The event marked the formal commencement of the association’s activities for the academic year and provided a platform to inspire leadership, innovation, and collaboration among students.
The ceremony commenced at 1:45 PM with a warm welcome address, highlighting the vision and mission of the CSE Student Association. The newly elected office bearers for the year 2025–2026 were formally introduced and invested with their respective responsibilities, symbolizing the trust and expectations placed upon them by the department and their peers.
A key highlight of the event was the Expert Talk on “Leadership Unlocked”, delivered by Mr. Kevin Prasath, Senior Technical Consultant at Zoho Corporation, Founder of K2Box Fitness and Nutrition (Erode), as well as an actor and model. Drawing from his diverse professional and personal experiences, Mr. Kevin emphasized the importance of self-discipline, adaptability, and continuous learning as vital attributes of effective leadership. His engaging talk blended real-world corporate insights with motivational life lessons, resonating strongly with the student audience.
Mr. Kevin further elaborated on the value of balancing technical expertise with soft skills, encouraging students to step out of their comfort zones and take initiative in academic, professional, and personal endeavors. He also addressed challenges faced by young leaders, including decision-making under uncertainty and managing diverse teams, and provided practical strategies to overcome them.
The session was interactive, with students actively participating in the Q&A segment, seeking guidance on career growth, personal branding, and entrepreneurial ventures. The speaker’s approachable demeanor and relatable anecdotes left a lasting impact on attendees.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speaker, faculty members, and student organizers for their contributions to the event’s success.
