The Department of Civil Engineering, in association with the Career Advancement Cell, organized an Expert Talk on “Strategies to Crack GATE 2026 – Civil Engineering” on 28.10.2025 at 11.00 AM in the II ME Classroom. The session was delivered by Mr. Sriram Krishna V S, Assistant Professor (II) / IT and Former Faculty at Made Easy & Unacademy, who has extensive experience in training GATE aspirants. The speaker discussed the GATE exam pattern, syllabus coverage strategy, weightage-based study planning, reference materials, test series approach, and effective revision habits. He emphasized conceptual clarity, consistent practice, and the importance of solving previous year question papers. The session included an interactive discussion where students clarified doubts on subject prioritization and balancing semester academics with GATE preparation. The event witnessed active participation from III, and Final Year Civil Engineering students, who expressed that the session was highly informative, motivating, and helpful in shaping their preparation mindset. The department plans to continue organizing such skill and career enhancement sessions to support students in competitive examinations and higher education aspirations.
