A two-day session on “Startup and Entrepreneurship” was conducted on 23.12.2025 and 24.12.2025 at Ragam Hall. The session was handled by Mr. S. Shameer, Founder of IT Project Media, By The Startups, and the Startup Business Networking Forum, Coimbatore. The program aimed to inculcate an entrepreneurial mindset among students by introducing them to the concepts of growth mindset, innovation, startup culture, and the importance of identifying real-world problems and converting them into scalable business opportunities.
During the session, students were exposed to key startup fundamentals such as the difference between startups and small businesses, Lean Startup methodology, Lean Canvas Model, innovation and disruption, funding sources, government initiatives like Startup India and StartupTN, and the role of incubators and accelerators. An MCQ-based assessment was conducted to evaluate students’ understanding of mindset, startup ecosystem, business models, and innovation practices. The session effectively enhanced students’ awareness of entrepreneurship, encouraged problem-solving and creative thinking, and motivated them to explore startup opportunities alongside their technical education.
