The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), in association with the Institution’s Innovation and Industry Partnership Cell (IIPC), KPRIET, organized a one-hour workshop titled “Insights on Disruptive Technologies” on 21st February 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The workshop was conducted at the II ECE – A Classroom.
The program was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students from various colleges about emerging disruptive technologies and their transformative impact on industries and society. The session aimed to provide participants with insights into how innovative technologies redefine conventional systems, business models, and engineering practices.
The workshop commenced with a brief welcome address highlighting the importance of disruptive innovations in the present technological landscape. The resource person delivered an engaging and informative session covering key areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, 5G communication, and Industry 4.0. Real-world examples were presented to help students understand how these technologies are reshaping multiple sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, communication, and finance.
Interactive discussions were encouraged throughout the session, enabling participants to clarify their doubts and share their perspectives. The workshop provided students with a broader understanding of current technological trends and the skills required to adapt to future industry demands.
