Ms. Gayathri Anandakrishnan, entrepreneur and educational administrator, assumed office as Secretary of KPR Institutions in 2023. She graduated in Commerce from Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore, in 2007.
Ms. Gayathri Anandakrishnan has held several important positions in industry. She began her career in 2011 at Bannariamman Flour Mill Limited and subsequently founded Le Sucre Bakery. She served as Joint Managing Director of textile spinning and garment businesses from 2017 to 2023, prior to joining KPR Institutions as Secretary.
As Secretary, she provides strategic direction to KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET), KPR College of Arts Science and Research (KPRCAS) and KPR Academy, the group's school. She has taken up several initiatives for quality education, innovation and the holistic development of students. Her vision is to establish KPRIET as a research institution by 2030, which is being pursued through STRIDE, the institute's five-year strategic plan for 2026–31, with emphasis on research, innovation, global engagement and student success.
She is an advocate of sustainability and has been actively promoting the reduction of plastic consumption and the elimination of single-use plastics. She has a keen interest in interior design. She is a former Tamil Nadu state-level badminton player.
