On March 15, 2025, the SPARTANZ Student Association and IETE Society, from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, organized an exciting event, "SOLDER WAR", at the Processor and System Design (PSD) Lab, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology. The event, held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, attracted students from various colleges eager to test and improve their soldering skills, teamwork, and circuit-building expertise. Guided by Dr. J. Prasad and Mr. Jakir Hussain G K, Assistant Professors (Sl.G.), the competition provided participants with hands-on experience in soldering, focusing on precision, efficiency, and problem-solving under time constraints. Teams of two were challenged to solder a given circuit within the allotted time, evaluating their technical accuracy, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. For 90 minutes, the PSD Lab was filled with focused energy and enthusiasm as students carefully assembled their circuits, demonstrating precision and efficiency in soldering techniques. The positive feedback from students emphasized the importance of such technical competitions in strengthening engineering skills and encouraging innovation in circuit design and fabrication.
