The Robotics Operating Systems (ROS) OCC enabled students to gain hands-on experience in developing and simulating robotic applications using ROS. Participants learned to create and manage ROS nodes, topics, services, and packages, and successfully integrated sensors and actuators in simulation environments. They acquired practical skills in robot communication, multi-robot coordination, and autonomous task execution. The course enhanced students’ programming and problem-solving abilities, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry-relevant robotics software applications. Overall, students were able to design, implement, and test basic robotic systems, achieving the intended learning outcomes of the OCC.
