On August 14, 2026, the IEEE KPRIET Industrial Electronics Society hosted SpectraX 2.0, a premier National Level Project Expo. The primary objective of the event was to provide a dynamic platform for emerging engineers and technologists to present their innovative ideas and practical solutions through project demonstrations.
The expo featured two primary presentation tracks: Software and Hardware. With an entry fee of βΉ150 for IEEE members and βΉ200 for non-members, the event was highly accessible and drew a massive crowd of 280 enthusiastic participants. The active participation highlighted current technological trends and fostered a competitive yet collaborative environment for peer-to-peer learning.
The event was meticulously executed by Student Coordinators Mr. Izash Ahamed and Mr. Aakash S. The smooth flow and technical evaluation of the projects were made possible through the expert guidance of the IEEE KPRIET IES Advisors, Dr. V. S. Chandrika and Dr. G. Saravanan, alongside IEEE KPRIET SB Counsellor, Mr. S. N. Dinesh.
The expo concluded with an award ceremony where the judges evaluated the presentations and distributed the βΉ11,000/- prize pool to the top three teams in the hardware category and the top three teams in the software category.
Outcome:
High Participation: The event successfully attracted and hosted 280 student participants, demonstrating strong engagement and interest in technical innovation.
Successful Presentations: Students successfully showcased and demonstrated a wide array of technical projects, neatly categorized into Software and Hardware domains.
Practical Application: Participants successfully translated theoretical engineering concepts into functional software applications and hardware prototypes.
System Design & Troubleshooting: Students demonstrated hands-on proficiency in coding, circuit integration, and real-time problem-solving during their demonstrations.
Technical Articulation: Presenters effectively communicated complex technical specifications, defended their design methodologies, and conveyed the real-world viability of their projects to the evaluating panel.
Awards Disbursed: A total prize pool of βΉ11,000/- was awarded to the top-performing teams, consisting of three distinct prizes for exceptional Hardware projects and three distinct prizes for outstanding Software projects.
